Chapter 10 and 11(Extending the organization-Supply Chain Management)

Basic of supply chain is the average company spends nearly half of every dollar that it earns on production needs-goods and services it needs from external suppliers to keep producing.A supply chain consists of all parties involved directly or indirectly in the procurement of a product or raw material.Supply chain management (SCM) involves the management of information flows between and among stages in a supply chain to maximize total supply chain effectiveness and profitability.Organization must embrace technologies that can effectively manage and over see their supply chains.Beside that information technology's role in the supply chain involves 5 basic supply chain management components that is:

  1. Plan
  2. Sources
  3. Make
  4. Deliver
  5. Return
Basis this chapter will tell us the supply chain management success factors.The following are  keys to SCM success such as make the sale to suppliers,wean employees off tradisional business practices ,ensure the SCM system supports the organizational goals and so on. Besides that there have 7 principles of supply chain management such as:
  1. Segment customers by service needs,regardless of industry,and then tailor service to those particular segments
  2.  Customize the logistics network and focus intensively on the service requirements and on the profitability of the preidentified customer segments
  3. Listen to signals of market demand and plan accordingly.Planning must span the entire chain to detect signals of changing demand
  4. Differrentiate products closer to the customer since companies can no longer afford to hold inventory to compensate for poor demand forecasting
  5. Strategically manage sources of supply by working with key suppliers to reduce overall costs of owning materials and services
  6. Develop a supply chain information technology strategy that supports different levels of decision making and provides a clear view (visibility) of the flow of products .services and information.
  7. Adopt performance evaluation measures that apply to every link in the supply chain and measure true probitability at every stages



Chapter 11

This chapter tell us about the building a customer centric organization-Customer relationship management.In this chapter story about the evolution of CRM,recency,frequency and monetary value.What are those things in the information technology system.Beside that this chapter also tell us the customer relationship management success factors that involves 5 CRM implementation stratergies such as:
  1. Clearly communicate the CRM stratergy
  2. Define information needs and flows
  3. Build an integrated view of the customer
  4. Implement in Iterations
  5. Scalability for organization growth
This chapter give me more understanding on how the CRM is process in Technology..



Chapter 8 and 9(Information Technology)

Accessing organizational information-Data Warehouse.
 In this chapter is have a lot of information about data warehouse ..We can actually know what is the data warehouse fundamentals in detailed that tell us about the data warehouse,multidimensional analysis and data mining.Besides that,we also have the information cleansing or scrubbing.Information cleansing or scrubbing is a process that weeds out and fixes or discards inconsistent,incorrect,or incomplete information.

What is Business Intelligence?
Business intelligence refers to applications and technologies that are used to gather,provide access to and information to support decision making efforts.Enabling business intelligence is to gain sustainable competitive advantage,and they may regard such intelligence as a valuable core competence in some instances.The principle BI are:

  1. Technology
  2. People; and
  3. Corporate culture.
Chapter 9 (Enabling Organization-Decision Marking)

A model is simplified representation or abstraction of reality.Besides that there have 4 reasons for growth of decision making information system.There are the reasons:

  1. People need to analyse large amounts of information
  2. People must make decision quickly
  3. People must apply sophisticated analysis techniques such as modelling and forecasting to make good decision
This chapter tell us what actually transaction system it is,how make the decision support system functionally and what is the executive information system.Executive information system is a specialized DSS that supports senior level executives within the organization.Besides that this chapter also explain about the digital dashboards,expert system neural networks,genetic algorithms  and intelligent agents.. On what i have learn in the class,this chapter have provided all the in formation in how the decision making is operate in the Technology...

Today i will continue my tutorial blog.. hahahaha.. I'm gone tell you about Valuing Organizational Information in Chapter 6 ..:)

What do you know about organizational information ?
Organizational information is comes at different levels and in different formats and granularities..
INFORMATION GRANULARITY refers to the extent of detail within the information (fine and detailed or coarse and abstract.Besides that..in this chapter also have The Value of Transaction and Analytical Information and the The Value of Timely Information..


 The Value of transaction and Analytical information  encompasses all of the information contained within a single business process or unit of work,while analytical information is  encompasses all organization information and it is primary purpose is to support the performing of managerial analysis tasks.The Value of Timely Information is have real time information and real time system .Besides that,this chapter tell us how to understand the costs of poor information and  understand the benefits of good information..In this chapter we know that Value of organizational Information what it is..:)




Chapter 7

STORING ORGANIZATIONAL INFORMATION -DATABASES.

Organizational information is stored in a databases.Applications and programs such as supply chain management systems and customer relationship management system,access the data in the database so the program can consult it to answer queries. In this chapter tell us what is the entities and attributes,and their key and the relationship.In addition this chapter have the relational database Advantage.The relational database advantage including:


  1. Increased Flexibility
  2. Increased scalability and performance
  3. Reduced information redundancy
  4. Increased information integrity(Quality)
  5. Increased information security.

This chapter also give us the knowledge about the data-driven websites is what actually.This kind of chapter have a lot information about the technology..This chapter is very interesting chapter to read..:) That all from me about chapter 6 and 7.. Bye..:)

CHAPTER 4 &5

Assalammualaikum,ola~ lala~lala.. Long time no see u guys.. How are u ? I hope u fine.. Today i would to give a comment about IT (Chapter 4 ).Chapter 4 is about Measuring the success of strategic initiatives.
Key performance indicators (KPIs) are the measures that are tied o business drivers. Metric are the detailed measures that feed those (KPIs)..Efficiency and effectiveness IT metric is to measure the performance of the IT system itself and measure the impact IT on the business process and activity respectively.In this chapter i have learn how the interrelationships of efficiency and effectiveness It metrics operate.Efficiency IT metrics focus on the technology itself.While these efficiency metrics are important  to monitor,they do not always guarantee effectiveness.

This chapter give me a lot of knowledge about strategic initiatives.. Metrics for strategic initiatives involved website metrics,supply chain management (SCM) metrics.Supply chain management metrics can help an organization understand how it's operating over a given time period.Customer relationship management (CRM ) metrics, business process reengineering (BPR) and enterprise resource planning (ERP ) metrics are large,organizationwide inititives.One of the best methods is the balanced scorecard.In this chapter give me a lot of information about the success of strategic initiatives.Hopefully i can understand.. Insyaaallah.. Amin..

CHAPTER 5
This chapter talking about organizational structure that support strategic initiatives.In this chapter tell us about the role of IT and their responsibilities..They have 5 position in organization... CIO,CTO,CSO,CPO and CKO.Besides that,i also learn the gap between business personnel and It personnel.Improving communications is one of the information i get in this chapter. Organizational fundamentals-Ethics and security have a lot of information i get.So,overall i have learn so much in this chapter and this chapter is interesting to leran.. hopefully olls will enjoy it. :)

Hye-hye..Seriously NK wndu giler korang ! Lama x berblog nie.. hahaha.. Maklum la sejak da persatuan baru nie banyak keje kena uruskan .. kihkih. (perasan btul Nk nie macam DIVA pulok.. )...Owh ye,sebelum terlupe SELAMAT BERPUASA walaupon da 17 hari kita berpuasa.. Selamat2.. Nk harap anda semua masih kekalkan title puasa itu dalam diri anda semua.. Aminn..Sebenarnya Nk banyak sangat nak cite kat korang tapi tulah.. isi hati Nk still x mampu nak luahkan nya lagi.. apakan daya.. haha..  ( Merapu jer )

Muahahah... sebenarnyer NK memang suke gelak... tapi kat kelas 2 cover2 jer... Malu punye pasal.. haha.gedik kan ? Bulan puasa nie bnyak mengajar NK erti kesabaran.. Ujian dari Allah 2 jangan cakap la.. Bnyak betul,tapi x per Nk terima ngan ikhlas n seadanya.. Yang penting kita wat semua nie kerana Allah s.w.t.. Insyaallah,bleh punyer... NK tengok kwan2 NK semua nyer baik-baik belaka n semua nyer dalam keadaan yang sihat sejahtera.. Amin.. Pisst,Pisst !!!I'm back !


Hahaha.. Assalammualaikum..,
Apa habaq ? Baek na.. hahaha.. Aje lame bebonor NK x berblog nieh ! kihkih.. :)Today NK nak story sikit... Pada 1/7/2012 (Ahad, pukul 6.30 petang di dataran muhibbah ) berlaku la satu kejadian yang x diingini telah berlaku pada NK.. Nak taw apa die jom tgk bawah.. kihkih :)


                            Tgk ! Melecur ! Sakit taw taw taw ! Huarrggg ! jatuh saham hantaran...Masa nie baru jer kena percikkan sambal nasi lemak NK yang agak sedap gyler n ternyata x dapat ditandingi oleh mana2 tukang masak Indon ..Muahaha.. :P Sumpah sakit nyer x terkata... Really ? Oh, yeay !..Tapi memang fun la dapat ase kesakitan nyer.. Tapi yang NK paling menakutkan sekali ialah, dimana kecerderaan yang terdapat ditangan NK ini makin teruk  ! Arrrghh ! Sumpah ! LOOK !:(


                        Katakan tidak pada merokok ! eh,eh silap merokok lak.. katakan tidak pada kemelecuran..Semua ubat dh bubuh,tapi x lut gak.. errmm ,nak wat cmner ? dh naseb badan.. hehe.. :P Mcm2 medicine dh bubuh.. Kalo pergi klinik memang kalah ar ubat kat klinik tuh .. Ex: colgate,losyen,minyak gamat n etc..Tapi setelah mendapat nasihat daripada yang pakar,  NK pon g la UK.. United kingdom ! hahaha..  Mahal kot tiket penerbangan nyer semata nak amek ubat kat sana.. Muahaha.. Mengarut jer NK nie.. X dala,sebenarnyer UK 2 stand for (Unit Kesihatan ) 2 jer pon.. heheh..:) Dah settle amik ubat ,nie la hasil nyer....... Check it up !


                        Tara ! nie la hasil nyer.. tu la, dulu orang tua-tua kata masa masak jangan nak berangan,nie bila dh kena what to do ? Padan muke leee.. kihkih..:P.. yang x leh tahan, masa nie ngah wat keje skolah.. Eceh ! keje skolah pon blh.. hahaha.. What ever la ! asal kan siap ..


                      Hahahaha... tembam kan tangan Nk ? Werrk ! Gediks giler... Nk memang cmnie kalo ngah memalam.. kihkih.. :)


                              Nie la ubat dari Uk tu.. Kecik jer.. Nk cuma nak agy pesanan sikit,bila dh taw taw diri tu nak masak,pandai-pandai la jga diri ngan kulit taw taw.. sbb bila dh kena kesakitannyer memang sangat teruja.. hahaha.. :) gudenite  semua.. da masa nnti kita chot chat lagi yer ? Business Driven Technology (MGT 300 ).

              hai,remember me ! haha..First of all i would to says thanks to my lecturer Miss Salina, and to all my friend in DIN 5B who support me very much.. Actually i would like to give a comment about Mgt 300. This subject is very interesting when you learn it.. Why i say like that because,we can know what is actually IT and where it come from. From my sides,it is good subject .In addition,i can get a little bit info about It when i read or learn this subject..This subject explain to me how one company used their IT to promote or advertise their product to customer or supplier..By learning this subject i might have a knowledge about Business Driven Technology.

Previous post we learn about IT right? Today i'm gone share with you how to Identifying Competitive Advantage, and what is Competitive advantage ?

To survive and thrive,an organization must create a competitive advantage.What do you know about CA ? Competitive Advantage is a product or service that an organization's customers place a greater value on than similar offerings from a competitor.Unfortunately,competitive advantage are typically temporary because competitors often seek ways to duplicate the competitive advantage.

When organization is the first to market with a competitive advantage,it gains a first-mover advantage. The first mover advantage occurs when an organization can significantly impact its market share by being first to market with a competitive advantage.Besides that,they must pay close attention to their competition through Environmental Scanning.
Environment Scanning is the acquisition and analysis of events and trends in the environment external to an organization.


The Five Forces Model-Evaluating Business Segments:


Helps determine the relative attractiveness of an industry and include the following five forces:

1)Buyer power.
-Analyzing the ability of buyers to directly impact the price they are willing to pay for an item.The factors used to assess buyer power include number of customers,size of orders,difference between competitors,sensitivity of price and availability of substitute products.One way to reduce buyer power is by switching costs.
Switching costs are costs that can make customers reluctant to switch to another product or service.For example : switching doctors is difficult because the new doctor will not have the patient's history and the relationship with the patient.Another example is to expand and improve services so it is harder for customers to leave,by doing a loyalty programs (reward customers based on the amount of business they do with particular organization.

2)Supplier power.
-Is assessed by the suppliers' ability to directly impact the price they are charging for supplies (including materials,labor and services).If supplier power is high the supplier can directly influence the industry by:
a)Charging higher prices
b)limiting quality or services
c)shifting costs to industry participants.

3)Threat of substitute products or services.
-High when there are many alternatives to a product or services and low when there are few alternatives from which to choose. Example :there are many substitute products in the airline industry..


4)Threat of new entrants
-High when it is easy for new competitors to enter a market and low when there are significant entry barriers to entering a market.


RIVALRY AMONG EXISTING COMPETITORS.
-High when competition is fierce in a market and low when competition is more complacent. Most implement loyalty programs to provide customers special discounts.


Besides that, mgt 300 also have the three generic strategies... Where this topic is explain about the cost strategies. In other hand, we also learn about value chain analysis in which we have value creation..A business process is a standardized set of activities that accomplish a specific task,such as processing a customer's order. Futhermore, the value chain approach views an organization as a series of processes,each of which adds value to the product or service for each customer.
So,the conclusion is we need to know how to identify the competitive advantage and know how to solve it..

IT (Information Technology ) is a field concerned with the use of technology in managing and processing information. Information technology is important enabler of business success and innovation.Information technology is everywhere in business. Besides that,IT also have (MIS).
(MIS) is management information system. (MIS) is general name for the business function and academic discipline covering the application of people ,technologies , and procedures -collectively called information system -to solve business problem.


In the class before we start to learn management information system,it is important to understand that following :


a)Data.. What is Data?
-Data is actually are raw facts that described the characteristics of an event.
b)Information..
-Information is data converted into a meaningful and useful context.
c)Business Intelligence .. What BI ( business intelligence ) ?
-Refers to application and technologies that are used to gather, provide access to,and analyze data and information to support decision-making efforts.
d)IT Resources.
-Is people,information and information technology.
e)It Cultures
In IT Culture have 4 information. That is information-functional Culture,information-sharing Culture,information-inquiring Culture and but not least is information-discovery Culture..


Actually this is summary what i had learn in class,and now i know what is IT.So, i hope on this topic will give us a little bit information what is IT .So now,if u have any problem about IT dont shy-shy to ask me okay.. Tatata.. :)

Morning guys.. hope u olls x tdo... kihkih... Mlam nie NK nak gebang2 sikit pasal haiwan kesayangan Nk.. cOmel cangat.. muaaha.. Tgk 2 ,kembar pulak tuh. .


                 Ini la die si kembar 3 yang bername buntal.. Cute kan ?Si Buntal nie selalu bersama x kira dimana jua anda berada.. Hahaha , dh mcm promote Digi  pulok.. Anyway bukan 2 yang Nk nak story kat sini.. Cebenornyer NK suka sangat kat arnab nie.. Jangan tanya kenapa ? Dah macam En.K. :) Biarla ia dijadikan rahsia.. hehehe..Nampak x kat situ da 3 ekor kan ? sebenarnyer dieorg tuh da name yang tersendiri.. Yang atas sekali tuh name die claypot,yang macam tdo tuh name sinchan ( die OKU sikit ) kihkih.. Tapi yang becor tuh name nyer bam-bam.. Saje NK agy name Buntal sebab pipi dieorg cumel sangat.. hehehe...


Nah, Tgk Sinchan dh becor pon... Waktu nie umur sinchan baru 2 tahun.. Lagi bape ari jer nak sambut Birthday... Pape pon Selamat Hari Lahir Sinchan.. Hadiah nnti erk ? kihkih.. :P..Mula2 NK igat sinchan nie x dapat hidup lama sebab die da masalah sikit sebab sinchan sakit.. Tapi akhirnyer dapat gak die (sinchan ) melihat dunia yang realiti tanpa ada rasa ragu2 dan was-was.. Alhamdulilah.. Walaupon die x dapat berkata seperti manusia ,tapi NK dapat memahami apa yang sinchan ase kan .. Sweeat x NK nie ? Muahahaha.. Nak muntah lak.. kihkih ..:)..Habit sinchan setiap pagi die akan melompat -lompat sampai die penat.. Kata nyer nak exercise.. kihkih.. Cam org yang nak bina badan lak... Haish sinchan -sinchan..Nmpak jer cam tuh,tapi aktif bebenor..:)




Bam-bam nie adalah abang kepada sinchan dengan claypot..Die nie garang sikit... Maklum la Abg kan ? Muahaha..Tapi segarang2 bam nie da gak lembutnyer... Bam nie sangat sayang kan adik2 die...Bak kata org sngat Protektif la..Nmpak x ,bkn saja manusia jer yang da sifat kasih sayang .tapi haiwan pon da.. Subahanaallah.. Apa pon kita sebagai manusia hendak la saling sayang menyanyangi antara satu sama lain.. Amin...Alamak lupe lak, sya x upload gambar claypot.. Cmner nie ? X pe2... Walaupon x da gambar claypot,x bermakna NK nak lupekan die pulak... Claypot nie manja,(tersangat manja) dan sangat sensitve...Tapi da satu perkara yang NK nak kongsi bersama... Arnab NK nie takut KUCING.. hahah.. Kucing merupakan musuh arnab NK.. Nak pulak tuh,jiran sebelah umah banyak pulak kucing-kucing die.. Aii,apa lagi menyirap la die 3 ekor buntal tuh.. heheh ~

MASJID AL-HIKMAH ( UITM MELAKA )




    Assalammualaikum,




Pist pist...Selamat tengah malam. Opps pagi la...Sebenarnyer nak story sikit nie... NK ngan roomates NK nie yang bernama wawa nie bru balik dri Masjid Al-Hikmah.. Da ceramah Israk & Mikraj sikit dari Ustaz Fuad dari Padang Temu ,Melaka.. Perhh ! Memang terbaik ar ceramah die.. Boleh tahan ar ceramah die... Yang x tahan nyer kiteorg nie baru jer sampai Masjid tuh dah Posing-Posing .. Igat cute ar , tapi memang cute pon...Muahahaha.. Tapi okey la... Bak orang kata 50 -50.. Hahahaha .... :)




                      
               Mesra x kami berdua ?... Yang penting senyuman 2 Ikhlas n menawan okey !.. Muahaha..
  Nie la die mazatun najuwa yg NK pggl wawa... Die nie kan dak kuat bercakap.. Kalo bercakap 2 org yang jarak jauh pon leh dengar taw ! NK rasa le kalo korang da masalah nak panggil org sila-sila mintax perkhimatan die.. Die nie mmang x taw malu... Yang paling NK suke tentang die ialah , die berani mencuba sesuatu tanpa ada ase takut.. Perhh ! last last saya ngan wawa angkat kaki g kat bazaar fair yang dekat ngan parking lecturer 2..
